One thing that never fails to draw attention and provide simple glee and inspiration from those who caught sight of it is a fountain. Water fountains are seen to be fronting a luxurious hotel and welcoming and impressing every guest, lounging in a posh restaurant admiring the diners and fishing some attention from them and usually sitting in the middle of a plaza or delighting passersby and keeping company some people who choose to stay for a little while. There are several styles of fountains available but for general classification, fountains are classified into two categories: indoor fountains and outdoor fountains. Indoor fountains are normally medium in size or built (especially those that are intended for residential use) since availability of space is very much taken into consideration. A lightweight material, copper is a suitable material to make fountains since they can be easily installed. Copper wall fountains are ideal for homes since most walls of the house are made of wood and it would be lighter for the walls to hold this kind of fountain.

Perhaps one of the few initial considerations that will cross your mind when talking about fountains is whether they get rusty quickly since water is flowing almost non-stop (unless of course it’s a stone fountain). There are available stainless steel wall fountains for those that are conscious about the durability of the fountain.

 

For homeowners who are thinking of having this particular kind of fountain need not worry about unnecessary spills on the floor (that could usually go unnoticed and make someone get into a minor accident as a result from slipping on the floor) since it can be prevented because of the thing called “splashguards”. It is located on the top and the bottom part of the fountain that ensure that water will not exceedingly flow out of the fountain and that the “impact” of the dropping of water will not make any outside spills.

 

Another popular type of fountains that have been around for centuries is the garden wall fountains. They are particularly famous in European countries such as Italy and France where gardens are plenty and are favorite tourist destinations. Although the variety of plants and flowers are the main attractions in a garden, such fountains never fail to provide additional appeal to a garden.

 

That’s what fountains are after all – to render additional beauty.
