My Love For Cupcakes And Other Desserts
I have recently found snack-cake chocolate to be a bit strong. From Grandma’s Cookies to Ding-Dong’s to Ho-Ho’s to cupcakes, I just seem to have lost my taste for the sweets.
I recently started to reject chocolate and other unhealthy things. A year ago, when I started to reject chocolate, I wondered, "Am I getting too grown up for Grandma’s Cookies? For Ding Dong’s? For Ho-Ho’s?" I was afraid. Am I now longer a kid?
Snack cake chocolate seemed a little strong. Was I going to stop eating 200-calorie fixes in the middle of the afternoon? That would almost make take my life into a realm of responsibility that I couldn’t begin to handle.
Then, about two months ago, I came across discovered a new snack, the Orange Hostess Cup Cake. It is mild, with a hint of citrus zest; a touch of class that one wouldn’t expect over the snack counter. When you bite, all is mild; a sharp contrast from its snack brethren. I understand that is not the experience that most junk food junkies may be going for.
If you aren’t in the cult, you will never beat us to the rack and will only find chocolate ones on the counter. You have to be quick if you want to know the joy of the Orange Hostess Cupcake.

All young girls dream of the moment they can celebrate their engagement. Some people make engagement cupcakes for their wedding. After the tear jerking romantic proposal it is time to celebrate the life that two people will be sharing once they become married.
Throwing an engagement party for friends or family members is a lot of fun. Make sure to set the mood with a wonderful menu. Serve engagement onion rings, betrothed cupcakes and fiancée crème fraiche asparagus.
To make betrothed cupcakes for the engagement party start with1 1/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 12 egg whites from large eggs ( enough for 1 1/2 cups), 1 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Next, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake pans with paper liners. Place egg whites in a large mixing bowl and beat at high speed until egg whites are frothy, approximately 1 minute.
Add cream of tartar, salt and vanilla to egg whites. Mix at high speed until egg whites are almost stiff, approximately 4 minutes. Add 1 cup of sugar gradually while mixing on low speed. Scrape bowl. Mix flour and remaining 1/2 cup sugar together and spoon 1/4 of mixture over egg whites, folding gently between each addition. Pour batter into cupcake liners until they are 2/3 full. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until tops are golden brown and cracks are very dry. Cool cupcakes completely before removing from pan. Decorate each cupcake with the colors the bride plans to use in her wedding.
These fun dishes are certain to make the engagement of loved one a moment to remember.
